Headphones

Today we talked about headphones in our computer labs. We go to the computer lab everyday and use headphones. If you would like your child to use their own headphones they can bring a pair to school that we will keep in the classroom. They can also buy them from the office for $4. I have purchased them at Dollar Tree and last okay. It would be a great idea to use their own headphones to stop the spread of germs.

Verbs

I wanted to say thanks to our entire class! Last week we did a review of verbs and it didn't go so well. We spent the rest of the week reviewing verbs like the verb dive. At the end of the week we did a verb quiz and the class did fabulous on it. Thanks for working hard on verbs. You are the best second graders!!!

Tables

We now have tables in our room. It was an exciting day when we got our tables. The students were able to pick their own seats for the first time this year. We had to make a few changes when they were done! The tables have been fun for centers and other activities!

Animals

We have been doing a lot of activities with animals. Today we wrapped up our animals unit. We investigated how birds use their beaks and animal footprints.

Shaving Cream Art

Sorry I haven't been updating our blog. We have had some internet issues at school. Last week we did shaving cream art. The kids loved playing with the shaving cream and making cool colors.

AR Reports

This is just a reminder to go on and check your child's AR progress. The term ends this Friday and each student needs 9 AR points. If you cannot access it at home I would happy to print a report for you.
