Color Value Dragons

This week our story was Dragon Gets By. Dragon was not a healthy eater and it got him into a lot of trouble. Today we talked about color value and painted three dragons. We loved getting the paints out and the kids did a fabulous job!

Meet Little D

This week we started our nutrition unit this week. We will be doing lots of fun activities over the next few weeks. Little D and the Royal Food Family will help us learn how to be more healthy!

Fun Run and Carnival

We had a fabulous time at the Fun Run and Carnival this weekend. Thanks to everyone that came! I tried to get pictures of everyone at the Fun Run and then forgot to take pictures at the Carnival...sorry. We are so proud that the fastest second grader came from our class! Whoo whoo!

Easter Fun

On Friday we had a fun Easter day! We did Easter Egg DOL as a class and then had an Easter Egg Hunt with our fourth grade buddies! Happy Easter!

Puppet Shows

Thanks for coming to our puppet shows! The students had a lot of fun preparing for and performing their shows!

Thunder Cake

Our story last week was Thunder Cake. It's a wonderful story about a little girl that is afraid of the storm. Her grandma decides to have her help make Thunder Cake. While making the Thunder Cake she learns that she is brave and doesn't need to be afraid of the storm. At the end of the story the author gave us the Thunder Cake recipe. On Friday we had Thunder Cake Cupcakes!

Those Pesky Leprechauns

Sadly the window in our classroom was left open last night and the Leprechauns got in. They made such mess in our classroom. They left footprints and Leprechaun Dust all over our tables. Luckily, they left us some Leprechaun Juice. Liam the Leprechaun told us to drink it very slow and it might turn our feet green while we sleep.
